Earth provides us with everything we need—fresh air to breathe, clean water to drink, nourishing food to sustain us, and healing herbs to restore us. This Earth Day, join us as we walk in gratitude and reflect on how we can learn from nature’s gifts. By protecting and preserving the planet, we honor its gifts and ensure a sustainable future for all.
Forest bathing, or shinrin-yoku, is the simple practice of taking in the forest atmosphere through the senses for health benefits.
Our time together includes gentle movement, meditation, opportunities to stop and connect with the natural world along the way, and concludes with herbal tea where we can reflect and share our experiences in community. We will also be using acrylic pens to create art on a wood slice that reflects inspiration from the experience.

About the instructor:
Brittany Carr, founder of Rooting in Nature, is a Certified Forest Therapy Guide who believes in nature’s profound ability to heal. The forests, mountains, and rivers have long been her refuge—places of solace, clarity, and renewal. Inspired by her own transformative experiences, she became certified through The Forest Therapy School to help others reconnect with themselves and the natural world. Rooting in Nature was founded on the belief that healing is a shared, reciprocal journey. Through guided walks blending mindfulness, movement, and meditation, Brittany creates space for people to slow down, reflect, and rediscover a sense of belonging, inner confidence, and connection—in themselves, in community, and in the land. A graduate of Montserrat College of Art, Brittany also expresses her love for nature through photography and handcrafted wood art. She enjoys yoga, writing, cooking, and time with her two cats, Loki and Mia. Her work inspires connection, self-discovery, and a deeper care for the earth.
